Fully automatic 2-strip molding system designed for most kinds of packages. This system can work with lead frame, substrate and ceramic carriers as well as individual modules. Equipped with Film-Assisted Molding technology as standard. Suitable for medium-sized to high production volumes. Capacity for carriers of up to 75 x 255 mm.

Process control

The molding process is a crucial driver of molded package quality. Our systems therefore pack extensive control features for the molding process, controlling and monitoring our molding process while gathering relevant information about the molding process itself.

Clamping mechanism

Highly accurate continuously-variable automatic clamping force mechanism from 20 to 100 tons per chase. Very effective and fast, four-point direct clamping on the mold unit for each chase. Resulting in a finely balanced clamping force. Each clamping rod (4 per chase) is pressure-controlled and therefore compensates for any unbalance in the system.

Transfer process

Servo-controlled with high-precision custom-made spindle for maximum accuracy and a long service life. The transfer unit is equipped with two highly accurate and calibrated force sensors to enable closed-loop control of pressure and speed.

Cure pressure

Boschman Technologies' cure pressure control software is a unique feature of this system. Developed to avoid dangerous pressure peaks resulting in device failure, excessive bleed or flash. Any built-up cure pressure can be freely programmed and ensures a stable and flawless process.

Temperature control

High-quality heaters and sensors are used for each chase. They quickly heat up to mold temperature and keep mold surface temperature within process limits, also during processing. Even when molding large compound volumes, our control feature ensures a stable molding temperature.

Process limits

Upper and lower limits can be set for each process parameter with the system issuing a warning signal when limits are exceeded.
